Tomorrow I’ll be in Philly with Steve Berman -first to make a brief stop at Philcon, then to Giovanni’s Room Read-a-thon fundraiser, where I’ll be reading from “The Engine of Desire”. Hopefully no one will throw oranges at me. Cheese is fine – you can throw cheese. Soft cheese. And small crackers. And maybe a few grapes.
In other news, I have FINALLY finished the novelette I’ve been working on for about a hundred thousand years now. I plan on sending it out by the end of November. And then it’s back to working on the novel (which is hovering at around 17,000 words). And there will be no more novelettes or novellas or short stories until the fucker is finished. I plan on finishing in February – of next year, not a hundred thousand years from now. Although, you never know.
